The Chess Player
The first film I completed in several years. Created for Campus Movie Fest. Four days spent brainstorming and planning, four days of shooting, two days of editing. Introduction and ending came out better than I envisioned them, the rest, not so much. I lost a sense of time, 5 minutes being the time limit, and I later realized tackling a character study in less than 10 minutes was a huge mistake. I made this film for myself, it is a very personal one at that. Some people call it pretentious, but pretentious is doing shit for the sake of it being "art" or whatever. Everything I did in this film, everything, I did for a reason. This was made so that I could scream at you. The reaction to it has been ridiculously lackluster, but as I said: I don't care about you.

The Wait is So, So Long
Several years ago, I was desperate for a film to submit for college applications. No one wanted to help, I couldn't get actors or anything. I was given this poem to make into a short, but unfortunately it came out lackluster. It's pretentious, the images are too literal. It's cheesy. Didn't get me in NYU, but I submitted it to several film festivals which filled up my resume.
